There is absolutely nothing positive to say about this game, other than Jose Abreu and Tim Anderson continuing to mash. After a good 1st start to the season, Ivan Nova was terrible. Mallex Smith was a terror on the bases, Domingo Santana continues to hit like it's 2017, and Dan Vogelbach hit 2 HR and a double, plus knocked in 6 runs.

Game Notes:

• The Nova/Castillo battery allowed 3 stolen bases in the 1st inning, plus a catcher's interference
• My god, Ivan Nova works slowly. Glaciers have time to melt between pitches
• Mallex absolutely robbed Anderson of a homer in the 3rd - Tim still got a double
• Adam Engel homered in the 7th off of Matt Festa. Adam has shown incredible home run consistency, hitting exactly 6 HR in each of 2017, 2018, and 2019.
• The 20MM White Sox team ERA now stands at 5.89.
• This loss slips the Sox into 4th in the AL Central; 2.5 games behind the surprising Tigers
• WhiteSox MVP: Ryan Cordell. Hit a game-tying double in the bottom of the 2nd, which was the peak of the day for the White Sox
• LVP: Nova. Like Lucas Giolito yesterday, had a second start that was every bit as bad as his first start was good. 2 1/3 IP, 7 ER.
